"WORK FOR BEER"
There’s pickup trucks parked all ‘round the barn
My good buddies showed up to help me get my new roof on
I told ‘em I can’t afford to pay ‘em but they said they don’t mind
As long as we make it a party and everybody has a real good time
It might take all day out in the sun
For these good ‘ole boys to get ‘er done
Nobody’s in a hurry since the keg got here
But God bless the boys who’ll work for beer
Old Skeeter cut the plywood twice but it’s still too short
Junior ain’t workin’ ‘cuz he’s workin’ on the girl next door
J.T fell flat on his back but he’s gonna be just fine
Made him count his fingers twice and both times he counted nine
It might take all day out in the sun
But these good ole boys are gettin’ ‘er done
That first keg’s all but disappeared
God bless the boys who’ll work for beer
Well Sonny says his cousins
All half a dozen of’m plan on comin’ around
And besides all that the beers getting’ flat
So I better make a run into town
It might take all day out in the sun
But those good ‘ole boys’ll be gettin’ ‘er done
Just as soon as that brand new keg appears
Well god bless the boys who’ll work for beer
God bless the boys who’ll work for beer
[what do you mean crooked..I think you’re standin’ crooked...hey Skeeter you bleedin’ again
Go get you some duct tape....hey boys...I’ll be right back
