Another Whiskey Morning©
He made his bed, and slept like the devil on the couch
The things he said to his angel, still haunt him now
He don’t know, what he was thinking, it’s too late for that
He’s given up the drinking, but it won’t give up back
Cuz it wakes him with no warning
In the, middle of the night, But he ain’t gonna give up this fight
He’s spent five years sobering, sometimes times he falls down to his knees
To pray , it ain’t gonna be, Another Whiskey Morning
Left Telegraph for Tullahoma, to start all over
Kept the past there in the past, trying to find closure
He opens his eyes, he won’t hide, even though he’s scared
He’s been tempted, he’s been tried and that bottle don’t play fair
Cuz it wakes him with no warning
In the, middle of the night, But he ain’t gonna give up this fight
He’s spent five years sobering, sometimes he falls down to his knees
To pray , it ain’t gonna be, Another Whiskey Morning
(He) looks thru the broken glass hoping the pain won’t last
He don’t wanna give in
And he knows the next step is the hardest one yet
To let go, and find God’s grace again
And it wakes him with no warning
In the, middle of the night, no he ain’t gonna give up this fight,(no, no)
He’s spent five years sobering, sometimes he falls down to his knees
To pray , it ain’t gonna be (tomorrow won’t be)
yeah he prays, he ain’t ever gonna see, Another Whiskey Morning
