There's A Black Man In The White House

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a collaborative partner for a song I just wrote, entitled There's A Black Man In
The White House. Given the fact that the election is just around the corner, time is of the
essence. I've embarked upon several similar collaborations in the past, producing a variety
of different songs in different genres, including Hats Off and Take Away My Keys, which
you can listen to on my profile page. Additonally, I have a song entitled "Look At That Negro
Run," which was written for a negro league documentary and soundtrack, spotlighting the
achievements of african americans in the game of baseball. This, along with many of my
lyrics can currently be found on my sonicbids EPK. at www.sonicbids.com/BillySimons. I'm
currently in the process of adding these to my songspace profile.
I just sent my lyric to Ellen, Oprah, and Donny Deutsch, from the T.V. show "The Big Idea"
yesterday and I'm awaiting a response. Obviously, the success of this project is directly
related to the outcome of the election.
I'm a lyricist only. Therefore, I'm looking for someone to write a melody and provide vocals
and instrumentation. In all of my previous collaborations, I've agreed to a 50/50 split of the
songwriting rights and any future earnings. If this is agreeable to you and you'd like to work
together, please let me know. Remember, time is ticking!
Thanks,
Billy Simons

Theres A Black Man In The White House
Written By Billy Simons
 2008
Verse 1
Hes big on words
And short on deeds
The opposition said
And ill-equipped
To meet our needs
And keep our families fed
Verse 2
They cast their stones
And spread their lies
Attackiing his good name
But he just smiled
And rolled his eyes
No need to play their game
Chorus
Dont be afraid to say it
Be proud of what you see
Theres a black man in the White House
And hes not just serving tea
Now Jimmy Crow aint happy
And thats just fine by me
Theres a black man in the White House
Hows that for democracy
Verse 3
With youthful charm
And confidence
He bolstered our resolve
Imploring us
To use good sense
In all, that we must solve
Verse 4
He promised hope
And decency
To each and everyone
A chance for us
To start anew
The day, Obama won
Bridge
Be the change you want to see
Its bigger than us all
And if you dare, to take a chance
Well catch you if you fall
Chorus
