HOW IT WORKS
American Songspace's Song Placement opportunity listings are centered around two components: 1) Our Personal Relationships within the music industry and 2) Our proprietary Digital Song-Pitching Platform. The A&R Department at American Songspace has cultivated, and continues to do so, working partnerships with key music users/buyers -- agents of song placement such as Record Label A&R Executives, Producers, Managers and Music Supervisors for film, television and advertising projects, etc. These listings/posts are created by the song Placement Partners (PP) themselves, activated by American Songspace, and promoted to our Member Community. When members' songs are submitted for a project, they are sent our Song In-Box, thoroughly SCREENED by American Songspace A&R, and only the most appropriate/qualified songs are "Selected" for the PP's listening schedule. The PP then logs in to his/her digital Industry Account to listen to each and every song Selected by American Songspace A&R. If the PP expresses interest in a song and requests a copy, we immediately download and send them an mp3 of the song. We stay abreast of any status movement on songs that are placed on Hold, and notify members of any such activity. We also the encourage the PP to reach out directly to the songwriter when possible. Additionally, all those who are Not Selected and Selected will receive an e-mail notification within 1-week of the project closings. The submission price ($3.99) is a song processing/screening fee, the service is non-exclusive, and members retain all rights and ownership of their songs.
