BIOGRAPHY
Born in New Ulm MN. and raise on his Grandpas folk music. Frank Prenevost started playing the banjo and guitar at age 16. Hooked on folk and bluegrass music he quickly added the mandolin, fiddle, harmonica and bass guitar. At age 21 Frank fell in love with the music of the Allman Brothers, Lynryd Skynyrd and Eric Clapton In 1991 Frank and his brother Brien formed the country music duo The Truesdells. In 1995 The Truesdells released “Dancin in the Country” Frank wrote all but two of the songs, selling nearly 3000 copies. The Truesdells opened for many touring acts including Merle Haggard, Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels and The Kentucky Headhunters, performing in Branson, MO. and Nashville, TN. The Midwest CMA named The Truesdells Duo of the year and Frank male vocalist of the year. In 2004 The Truesdells hung up their boots after a great 14 year career.
Frank continued to work on his song writing and began pitching his songs to publishers. Eventually getting one of his songs (Love me for what I am) published with Cedar Creek Music in Nashville, TN. The song was recorded by Cajun Country Artist Johnny Benet. Frank Prenevost started Prenevost Music (ASCAP) in 2007 to control and pitch his own catalog of songs. Working with several UK songwriter he soon discovered the need of an quickly growing country music market in the UK. Getting his first UK cut with German country artist Mark Bender. Frank wrote and produced his first folk/bluegrass cd in 2009 - I Miss Lake Bemidji is available at www.cdbaby/cd/frankprenevost
