BIOGRAPHY
Hello American Song Space Folks!

I'm a singer-songwriter and world champion whistler who digs good music of all types.

I perform as The Jazz Whistler, and with my band Francesco & Friends.

My debut CD is called Air Play and gets a lot of airplay on public/jazz radio stations and internet streams.

Many consider me to be the leading jazz whistler today, but I also sing and play guitar in many genres.

I'm currently working on my 2nd release whcih will be an Americana style production. I've teamed-up with LA producer Ken Tamplin who's helping me put my songs in-shape for this new musical adventure for me.

I'm hoping to have some of you cover my songs as well.

I have done whistling solos on several other artist's songs and I'd be interested in adding that talent to your compositions. This isn't your average type of whistling - I've performed with classical symphonies. I can handle your needs as I have a full studio at home and racks of effects I use to make my whistling sound out of this world.

Ciao!

Francesco

Q&A: Bright Eyes

After a brief stint as a solo artist, Conor Oberst has revived Bright Eyes to release The People’s Key, an album that deals with the nature of time, spirituality, and human existence. Also, it’s Rastafarian friendly.

Robbie Robertson

As a member of The Band, Robbie Robertson changed the course or rock music history, hipping the genre to a more old-timey sound with songs like “The Weight,” “Up On Cripple Creek,” and “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.” His latest solo album, How To Become Clairvoyant, reflects on his rock and roll past.

Taylor Swift: The Garden In The Machine

“Country music is truly music for everyone,” said Tim McGraw, as he and his wife Faith Hill prepared to announce the Country Music Association’s 2009 “Entertainer of the Year” award. “And that’s never been more apparent than with the diversity of tonight’s nominees.”

Alison Krauss: The Golden Girl

These days, many Nashville-based artists co-write their own material with big name songwriters so they can share a piece of the royalty pie in times of declining CD sales. But the truth is, a lot of those co-writes can’t match the work of people whose calling in life is to create high-quality songs above anything else.
