SONG CUTS
"The Quietest Part of the Day," a co-write with Harriet Schock, on her February 2009 CD, "Breakdown on Memory Lane."
AWARDS & ACCOLADES
October 2009: My song "Driveways" received Honorable Mention in American Songwriter's 10/09 lyric contest. 5/28/09: Top Ten Finalist in Mike Pinder's (of the Moody Blues) "Song Wars" contest with my song, "One of the Two." I performed my own songs in the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences' (NARAS) "Songwriters in the Schools" program circa 1996-97. That program was funded by NARAS and appeared at a number of Los Angeles high schools, from Hollywood to the beaches to desert, bringing literate songwriting to the young and impressionable. The program featured grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Harriet Schock ("That Ain't No Way to Treat a Lady" among other great songs) and was helmed by legendary record producer (Beach Boys, Bobby Darin, Jim Croce, Linda Ronstadt, among others) Nik Venet. Harriet Schock also references my lyrics in her wonderful book "Becoming Remarkable"-- which I highly recommend to songwriters young or old, pro or aspiring.
