David James & co-writer Ricky Bailey recently won the Grand Prize "for excellence in songwriting as exhibited in the Nashville International Song & Lyric Competition for Spring 2009 for the entry: "The Auctioneer's Waltz." David James & co-writers Andi Crimmins & Peter Renfree won first prize in the VH-1 Song of the Year monthly song contest for their song "Hank on the Radio." David James & co-writer Ted Tomiuk won first place in the MakeAStar.com international song contest for their song "I Want You." David James & co-writer DeAnn Sanders were Finalists in The Sandra James Music Foundation 2009 Songwriting Contest for their song "It's My Life."
