It’s freezing cold outside. Winter is everywhere you look. And I, for one, can’t think of a better time to gas up the old Jeep and head east to play some tunes for all the good folks in the Carolinas and Virginia. The train (and by train I mean Jeep) leaves the station in a couple of days and I’m ready to get out and see some old friends and make some new ones. The lineup this time around is going to be a little different and I’m looking forward to seeing these songs develop in new ways with our newest member.
I’m pleased to announce the addition of Clint Maine to the list of friends joining me onstage this time around. Clint has been playing banjo and guitar with me and Joe here in Nashville for a few months, and I’m really pleased that he agreed to come along with us for these gigs. As always, there will be many old friends joining us for the Virginia shows. One of my favorite things about playing in Virginia is playing with a lot of great people whose musicianship and camaraderie I miss very much. We’re going to have a real good time, I’m certain of that.
I’m going to be posting regularly with set lists, photos, and general updates as we travel around. Like I said, I’m really intrigued to see how this all turns out, so expect a lot of thoughts from me throughout the next couple of weeks. Also if any of you have photos, stories, complaints, or compliments from the shows, please be sure and send them my way!
That’s all for now, folks. I’ve still got a good bit of work to get done before we head out. Can’t wait to see everyone out there
