writer profile >
Writer/artist, Alex Nackman, has traveled the world (touring more than 700 shows in the U.S. and Europe), been privileged to share some incredible show bills, with the likes of Norah Jones, The Roots, Tim Reynolds, Zac Brown Band, Buddy Guy, among others, and landed more than two dozen television and film placements. With six albums under his belt, including the 2011 featured Apple iTunes Indie Spotlight release, This Revolution, Nackman has established himself as a songwriter, producer, composer and artist with true staying power and with a growing following. Nackman’s sound combines a pop/alternative sensibility with elements of British alt-rock and New Wave, reminiscent of New Order, The Cure, Duran Duran, and early U2. As All Music Guide’s William Ruhlmann writes, “Nackman’s throaty tenor creates a sound suggestive of Marc Cohn fronting Coldplay.”
Having had music featured on HBO’s “The Newsroom” and NBC’s “The Voice,” among many others, and lauded by the BBC in London for his “electric-fired gems,” Alex Nackman, a New Yorker, is pushing ahead without looking back, while on the road and in the studio, writing and composing music for an upcoming release, television and film
